Aircraft Twirls Wildly into Palm Trees at Popular Southern California Beach
A chopper flying above a well-attended California beach suddenly started spinning out of control, finally dropping height and crashing into a line of palm trees as beachgoers observed.
Recordings posted on social media depict the helicopter beginning to twirl near the shoreline then plunging in the direction of the edge of the shore, where it becomes wedged between palm trees and a staircase adjacent to the coastal road.

Emergency responders reported five people were rushed to the hospital comprising two who were in the aircraft and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” following the incident on Saturday.
Three persons on the road were hurt. Information on their wounds were not immediately available.
The reason for the accident was not yet disclosed.
