The England manager has chosen to retain the same England squad that secured victory against Andorra and delivered an impressive performance in Belgrade during the previous international break, finding no place for Jude Bellingham and Phil Foden in his group for the upcoming exhibition match against Wales and the World Cup qualifier in Latvia.

Although Foden pushing for a return to the squad after rediscovering his form at his club, and Jude Bellingham having made a comeback for Real Madrid following shoulder surgery, the national team manager has decided against selecting two of the nation's most prominent offensive stars. The young midfielder has been in the starting lineup just a single time for his team since his comeback.

Tuchel has found space for Bukayo Saka, who is back to fitness and has been restored in place of his injured club colleague Noni Madueke. Jack Grealish has not received a recall.

Tuchel expressed his admiration for the vibrancy in last month's squad and seems intent on maintaining the vibe. Tino Livramento, who featured at the defensive flank in the convincing victory in Serbia, has been ruled out due to a knee injury. The manager has not called up a like-for-like substitute for the Magpies star but has selected John Stones, who had to withdraw previously. Tuchel has spoken about the centre-back's significance for the national team and has suggested deploying him in the middle of the park.

There is no place for the midfielder, who was called up in the previous squad but pulled out due to injury and was substituted by the Milan player.

The manager stated: “A mere three weeks after the previous gathering and the most recent victory, the latest display, so the consideration was why not select the identical squad in because they established a benchmark. Now it is about creating habits out of it. We have unfortunately two injuries at the moment with Tino and Noni and we welcome of course the Arsenal forward in to take the place of Noni. The defender was a last-minute addition last time; he will remain with the squad.”
